Interlocking Medallion Card, Last Chance Parisian Breeze

I love this litte 4"x4" card. It is so cute. I was too sleepy last night to add a sentiment, but it could be for anything, birthday, thank you, thinking of you. Cutest little gate fold. I am going to try the butterfly version tonight. I will be so sorry to see the Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP go at the end of the month. It is by far my favorite DSP that I have ever had. So versatile because it is cardstock weight. Get some before it is gone June 30th!

The Interlocking Medallion Gate Fold Tutorial can be found here on Qbee's Quest blog.

Tri-fold Shutter Cards for Dad...

I absolutely love the Tri-Shutter fold card that was posted on Splitcoast by sheltyx1 in a challenge. This uses a 5-1/2 X 12 " piece of cardstock scored at 2", 4", 8" and 10".

Cuts are made horizontally 1-1/2" from the top and bottom edges from the 2" score line to the 10" score line. The top and bottom rows fold peak, valley, peak, valley. The middle row is folded valley, peak, valley, peak. These sold on Sunday at the tasting party like hotcakes. Now I need to make some more.

Amethystcat made a nice rough sketch on her blog that shows how to cut the DSP panels out of 1 8X8" sheet of paper.

Looks something like this (picture not to scale):

Stamp Sets used are: And Many Mower, All Holidays, Cheers to You, Circle Circus, Oval All

I can't for the life of me remember what DSP I used. Probably some from Windsor Knot and some from To the Nines, Certainly Celery, Kraft, and mostly Timber Brown Stazon, and Sahara Sand ink sponged on to distress... I used Ready to Glitter Making Memories stickers and colored the front protective backing sheet with soft suede stampin write marker for the DAD. (if you remove both the front and the back sheet, the sticker becomes adhesive on both sides). Crushed Curry stampin write marker was used to color in the beer.

Father's day cards continued...

Here are some Father's Day cards I made over the weekend. People must have liked them because they bought them all. I decided that for manly cards, i really liked the color combination of the new in colors- Soft Suede and Dusty Durango with Whisper White. At first glance I did not like either color, but when you put them together I think they look great. (Circle Circus Stamp Set, sentiment from Great Friend stamp set)

Faux Giraffe Father's Day

I made a ton of cards this weekend to sell at a tasting party I was invited to. I sold most of them including this one. The circle stamp, stamped all over the dusty durango cardstock remindes me of a giraffe.

I will post the rest some time this week.

Versatile Circles...

I am having too much fun playing with my new Circle Circus stamp set. It is so versatile! I love the black and white look that these stamps get but thought it would be fun to add some pops of color.
I started out by stamping different circles with Basic Black ink on strips of whisper white cardstock. Next for the large circles I colored them in using Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo stampin' write markers. Next I trimmed some circles that I had stamped the other night in Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo and I attached those with dimensionals to certain corresponding images on the strips. I added rhinestones in the centers for some of the colored circles. I matted the strips on Basic Black cardstock and then adhered all strips onto Bermuda Bay cardstock. Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set onto the card.
I think I have found my new favorite colors- Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo!
All items available July 1st.

Design your own ribbon...

Here is another card I made with the Circle Circus stamp set. I love the way these stamps take ink. The impression you get is very clean and bold.

I was playing around with whisper white satin ribbon and I stamped one of the smallest circles in Basic Black ink right on the ribbon. Then I colored over the entire ribbon with Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write markers. I think the ribbon comes out looking great. Having the in color markers is so convenient.

For the rest of the card, I mostly stamped the circles in Basic Black ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I used two circles I stamped and punched out with dimensionals to make the center circle the focal point with Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Rich Razzleberry ink and then put a rhinestone in the center for some bling. I mounted on Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry cardstock then I put the whole thing on a Crushed Curry card. Finally I added the whisper white Good Luck sentiment from the Chit Chat rub-ons onto the Melon layer. Finally I tied on my dyed ribbon.

All items will be available July 1st. (rub-ons available now)

Circle Circus tie dye for~!

Here is a great way to economize and make quick easy cards. Make your own One Sheet Wonders and Tie Dyed Ribbon. Here I sponged whisper white cardstock with the new In Colors. Then I randomly stamped the circles from Circle Circus in Basic Black Ink. I colored whisper white satin ribbon with In Color markers. I stamped window sheets with the sentiments "for you" from Great Friend and "Happy Birthday to You" from Crazy for Cupcakes, cut them out and then adhered them with crystal rhinestone brads. Finally I matted the main piece on Basic Black and then Bermuda Bay/ Melon Mambo cardstock.

Yeah my sneak peak preorder came!

As promised here are photos of my order and an anniversary card I made for my grandparents. I was going for a boho necklace design.
So much playing, so much fun, and a whole lot of perusing the new catalog. I love so much in the new catalog. I need to find some room for some new stamp sets.

Recipe: Stamp set- Circle Circus from the new catalog- available July 1st, All Holidays, Congrats, the new in color classic inks Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, whisper white craft ink inside, Crushed Curry stampin write marker came in so handy coloring in edges and center spots, Whisper White, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, dazzling diamonds, crystal effects and dimensionals.
I must have stamped a zillion different sized and colored circles while playing with the new in colors. I want to do a scrapbook page with a sketch I saw in creating keepsakes that has all different sized circles. Stay tuned....
