Crafty Fun Z Fold Card

The Sara Signature Crafty Fun range from Crafter’s Companion is full of fun dies and papers. I used that great Z Fold card technique adapted from Kelly Acheson (see my May 18th post for details) to showcase my favorite patterns from the Crafty Fun 6 x6 paper pad.

The fabulous envelope die and flowers are all from a die set in the range called Sealed With Love. I love that it comes with a couple of choices for the in laid cut in designs as well as decor and cute sentiment dies.

There will be a Facebook Live on the Crafter’s TV page on Wednesday Creative Cravings show featuring the Crafty Fun range. Check it out.

Fun Birthday Cards

In our Saturday Night Crafters Facebook group we share a love of several of the same company's products including Crafter's Companion, Tonic Studios, Diamond Press and Stampin' Up. We love discovering and sharing all new products with each other but we also have a lot of the same supplies.  This week we made fun freestyle Birthday cards using Crafter's Companion December Balloon Sentiments Craft Box.  The box is great because it includes coordinating stamps, embellishments, dies, cards, ribbon, twine, paper and cardstock.  I decided to make two cards.

I made a Center Step card base using some Hunky Dory Cardstock a while ago and had never come up with a concept to decorate it.  When I saw the patterned paper in this box, I knew I could make a really cute Birthday card using that base.

I stamped out Hello Friend using the balloon stamps and Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  I matted those onto the patterned paper and edged around it with Nuvo Glitter Marker then matted that onto some of the purple cardstock from the box.   I added some cute Shimelle Sparkle City Glitter Enamel Stickers and drew in some balloon strings with a black pen.

I used some of the left over purple cardstock and added some Versamark Ink all over then embossed with Holographic embossing powder. Next I die cut the balloon die out of my custom sparkly paper and added those on the steps of my card.  I finished the card off by stamping It's Your Day and Have Fun.

For my second card, I decided to keep it simple and showcase some of the patterned paper.  I embossed Happy Birthday balloons with White Embossing Powder directly onto the patterned paper and stamped some confetti using Pink Tulip and Jade Green Harmony Opaque Pigment Ink.  I stamped my sentiment "Wishing You A Very" in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and added some Studio Katia Crystal Clear Confetti and finished things off with some Noble Peacock Rhinestones from Stampin' Up!

Z Fun Fold Cards

This past weekend in the Saturday Night Crafters Facebook Group, we worked on Z Fold cards. Everyone has their own preferred design and measurements for this type of card. I have to say this design by Kelly Acheson from A Stamp Above is my new favorite.

This card is so perfect for showcasing beautiful papers. I chose Stampin’ Up! Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper. I pared it with Pale Silver Centura Pearl CardStock. I finished it off with a sentiment die from Diamond Press and cut out one of the flowers from the patterned paper to place behind the die.

Crafty Fun Card

Today's card was a card challenge we did on Friday and Sunday in the Card Making - learning as we go group on Facebook.  We decided to create our own version of this Crafter's Companion design team card.

My version is a bit smaller, I decided to make a 6 x 6 foldback card.  Since this card is much smaller than the original project I ended up placing the artist palette die cut on the inside of the card.  I really like how this card turned out.

Supplies:
Crafter's Companion Sara Signature Crafty Fun Collection dies, Red Pearl Cardstock and embossing folder
Crafter's Companion White Stamping Card
Crafter's Companion Matt Black Cardstock
Gold Mirror Cardstock

Birthday Wishes

Today's card is a Birthday card that I made for a crafty friend.  I tried to keep it clean and simple so I could hand it off to the mailman.

I arranged some negative pieces from a dress design cut in card front I made with my Cricut Joy then popped on a die cut sentiment from Crafter's Companion on a Centura Pearl tent fold card base.  For some sparkle and to finish things off, I added Gold Fever Confetti from Studio Katia that I received yesterday.

Happy Mail

Happy Wednesday!

I received some Happy Mail today, my first order from Studio Katia 😃.  I got some really cute confetti and gems and they even included some freebies, a gem tray and some flower confetti!  I store all these little bits in CraftMates Lockables storage.

How do you store your embellishments?

A Special Mother's Day

Mother's Day will be a little different this year as we are still in quarantine in NY.  I made this card especially for my mother so she would know how much I appreciate her.  I am choosing to stay home and stay safe to protect her.  Week 8 of quarantine!

For this fold back card, I wanted to showcase the Butterfly dies from Crafter's Companion's Nature's Garden Beautiful Butterfly collection.
I layered the statement butterfly in Lavender Glitter cardstock, and Blue and Lilac pearl cardstock from the Crafter's Companion Vintage Lace Collection and added Hunkydory Purple Glitter Diamond Sparkles, then layered the butterfly on top of Vintage Lace patterned paper and used lilac pastel Centura Pearl for a border.
I used a Diesire die to cut out the word Mom.
I added 3 Lavender glitter cardstock circles at the bottom in lieu of gems.
For the inside of the card,  I used a Crafter's Companion Butterfly Edgeable Die and layered on top of some WOW American Crafts Glitter paper.
I framed the sentiment with the Intricate Lace Frame die from the Beautiful Butterflies collection die cut from Lavender Glitter cardstock.
I used a mixture of stamps for the inside sentiment of my card from Altenew, Stampin' Up! and Crafter's Companion and stamped in Spectrum Noir Crushed Velvet Harmony Quick Dry ink.
I used another sheet of patterned paper from the Vintage Lace collection as the background.

Ornate Garden Suite Cards

Last week we played with the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite in our Saturday Night Crafters Facebook Group. My demonstrator, Kathy Ervin Jones demoed this card using the Ornate Style and Ornate Thanks stamp and die sets. I made two separate cards during our live craft along, one for Mother’s Day and one Thank You card for my dear friend who sent me a care package full of goodies while I am staying home and safe during quarantine. She deserved a really special thank you for sending me chocolates, coffee, cookies, bagels and stickers for my planner.

Masculine Birthday Cards

I always struggle with making masculine looking cards. I recently picked up the Diamond Press background dies from HSN and the plaid themed die is absolutely perfect for making masculine themed quick and easy cards.

I paired the background die with Diamond Press’ Classic Nesting Sentiments die Happy Birthday sentiment and came up with a simple universal design that can be done in different variations. These crisp and clean cards are quick and easy to make.

Triple Slider Card

Our latest project in our Saturday Night Crafters group was a Triple Slider Card.

I used Crafter’s Companion Sara Signature Vintage Lace patterned paper as the main focal point on the outside of my slider card. I stamped sentiments and added some blooms from Crafter’s Companion Spring Wreath Stamp. I added some Moonshine Confetti from Simon Says Stamp to finish off the project.

You can replay the craft along in our Facebook Group Saturday Night Crafters.
