Circle Circus tie dye for~!

Here is a great way to economize and make quick easy cards. Make your own One Sheet Wonders and Tie Dyed Ribbon. Here I sponged whisper white cardstock with the new In Colors. Then I randomly stamped the circles from Circle Circus in Basic Black Ink. I colored whisper white satin ribbon with In Color markers. I stamped window sheets with the sentiments "for you" from Great Friend and "Happy Birthday to You" from Crazy for Cupcakes, cut them out and then adhered them with crystal rhinestone brads. Finally I matted the main piece on Basic Black and then Bermuda Bay/ Melon Mambo cardstock.

Father's Day Cards....

I didn't get to do much stamping this memorial day weekend. I actually went outside. I know shocking! There was fishing by a pond and children involved. Even more shocking! But I finally made it back indoors yesterday and made two simple cards for Father's Day. Our air conditioning is busted, so it was too hot to go in my stamp room, it is in a loft so you can imagine how hot that gets. I only had a few basic supplies in my bedroom that I used while I watched the General Hospital marathon. I think Soaps are so great in the background while stamping because you really don't need to watch them, you only need to listen.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Here is a quick and simple birthday card I made for my father using the And Many Mower set. I used the BigShot with the Textured Impressions Backgrounds and the 1 3/4 punch to make the golfball. I used Windsor Knot DSP and Kiwi Kiss and Basic Gray cardstock along with Stampin Write Markers and Basic Black Ink.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mommies!

Here is my mother's day card for my Mommy! Love you Mommy! I have to hurry and post this because my mommy is coming over right after church. I am taking her to lunch then to see Star Trek, she is a big trekkie! Then out to Coldstone to get some ice cream since they are doing buy one get your mother's free. We will probably be on line all afternoon but their ice cream is well worth the wait.
I used the purse card die in my BigShot, then embossed Basic Gray cardstock using the Textures Backgrounds # 2 small dots then I covered the whole think with versamark and clear ep and drew a pattern with my bone folder and heat embossed. I embellished the inside of the card with Whisper White cardstock, Walk in the Park DSP, Regal Rose Ink and grosgrain ribbon, butterfly stamp for Great Friend and some assorted old stamps to make a movie ticket.

To make the nugget box, I used the Matchbox die for the bigshot along with some clear plastic from the outer packaging one of my dies came in, some Kraft cardstock and Walk in the Park DSP along with Matchbox Greetings stamp and whisper white satin ribbon and a curly paperclip to attach the tag.

Faux Alligator Gift Card Holder Purse

This purse was demonstrated to me by my sideline Liz. I have taken a moment to make a template for it since someone requested instructions on how to make it.
You will need a Versamark Ink Pad, Clear Embossing Powder, a Bone Folder(or other pointy implement), an 8 1/2" X 11" piece of dark colored textured cardstock, a 3" X 3 1/2" piece of whisper white cardstock, a 4" X 5" colored piece of cardstock, two wide oval punch pieces from the textured cardstock piece above, a velcro dot, a wide oval punch, a piece of ribbon about 5 pieces long and a rhinestone or brad embellishment.

First, cut the textured card stock according to the template below (4 1/4" X 11 round off edge at 9 1/2" inches). Score at 3 1/2", 5 1/2" and 9". Punch out the two wide oval punches from the left over textured cardstock scrap. Cover the textured side of the cardstock with Versamark using the direct-to-paper technique, then coat the entire piece with clear embossing powder. Using the bone folder, draw wavy lines through the embossing powder in both directions in the desired design to emulate faux allitagor design (press hard), tap off the extra embossing powder and then heat all over with a heat tool to emboss the entire surface. Once that has completely dried/cooled you can take the 4 x 5 piece of colored cardstock and score at 1 1/4" and fold up to make a pocket flap. Fold the oval punches in half and add adhesive to adhere the pocket flap onto the inside of the purse and hold the pocket closed on the sides. Stamp desired sentiment or design on the 3 X 3 1/2 white piece and slip inside the pocket along with a gift card. Place a velcro dot on the inside of the flap and the outside of the purse to hold it closed once folded up. You can poke two small holes on the 9" score line and thread ribbon through to make a strap, knotting the ends to hold it in place. Finally glue on a rhinestone or place a brad on the outside to embellish the purse flap.

Wedding Shower Invites Part 3

The Wedding Shower invites are finally done! Here are the vertical style in all their glory.

I ended up with an extra card and stamped image from the first horizontal style half of the invites so I made one more version below:

Finally here is the Bachelorette Party insert for the top portion of the inside of the vertical invitations. A label will be placed underneath with the Bachelorette Party details.

Now I can move on to finishing up my Mother's Day cards!

Wedding Shower Invitations Part 2

Here is the second installment of the wedding shower invites that I promised, except it is a little later than intended. That heat wave over the weekend really slowed me down. My friend Rhiannon also designed these as well. She went through every flower stamp I had searching for just the right flower and ended up picking this one from the Eastern Blooms set.

Recipe: For the Bride and Eastern Blooms stamp sets, Pretty in Pink, Shimmery White, Brushed Silver cardstock, Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon, Silver Brads, Cloth flowers, Pretty in Pink Ink, Silver Encore Craft Ink, Dazzling Diamonds, Clear Embossing Powder, Stampin Dimensionals, BigShot Top Note Die

We are still trying to come up with a design for the inside for the Bachlorette Party invite. TBC...

Wedding Shower Invitations...part 1

Here is a wedding shower invitation that my friend Rhiannon asked me to help her with. She designed the whole thing herself with my creative advice. I think she did an excellent job. Her enthusiasm for trying something new and stamping was so amazing. She made it fun, well she always makes everything fun. But it was so nice to get to share my hobby with one of my friends and have them really enjoy it too! She also made 3 other versions. I will post those later this week.

Recipe: For the Bride and Grand Soiree stamp sets, Pretty in Pink, Shimmery White, Basic Black cardstock, Pink Pirouette DSP, Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon, White Grosgrain, Halfback Pearls, Basic Black Ink, Dazzling Diamonds
