To Another Year Circle Card

Happy last week of summer.  Here is a quick card that I made using a tutorial by Jackie Bolhuis.  I sent this one off to my stampin' friend Elaine for her birthday and she really liked it and wanted to make one for her self.

I had never gotten around to trying the circles technique and it is a quick and easy bold way to add a focal point to a card.

I used the Saleabration Amazing Phrasing stamp set which has great bold sentiments for embossing.

Just a few more days to earn this stamp set for free a $100 purchase during Saleabration.

Card Base:  Thick Basic White 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
Basic Black: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"   2" x 4" scrap for sentiment
In Color Glimmer Paper: 4 x4 squares of  die cut with 4 various size circles

Cut each circle in half and then glue circles all the way over to the left side on each half set.

Emboss your sentiment on black cardstock then trim with scissors with an angle on each side.

Mat the white layer on black then adhere to card base.

Adhere the circles with the top half on the right side of the card and the bottom half on the left.

Glue the sentiment over the seam of the circles.

Embellish with Iridescent Rhinestones.
