Interlocking Butterfly card

Here is my attempt at making an interlocking butterfly gatefold card. Link to the tutorial by Qbee is in yesterday's post below. Special thanks to my upline Evelyn for her wonderful compliment on my cards. I have been trying to push myself to make at least one thing everyday and it is wonderful to know that someone appreciates your work! Thanks for the support!

Father's Day Shirt Cards revised

Using the instructions in my post below, I figured out how to properly fold my shirts. Here are some new quick cards. You will probably notice that these are limited supply cards. This is because I make them after work while I am sitting on my bed watching All My Children.

Father's day cards continued...

Here are some Father's Day cards I made over the weekend. People must have liked them because they bought them all. I decided that for manly cards, i really liked the color combination of the new in colors- Soft Suede and Dusty Durango with Whisper White. At first glance I did not like either color, but when you put them together I think they look great. (Circle Circus Stamp Set, sentiment from Great Friend stamp set)

Faux Giraffe Father's Day

I made a ton of cards this weekend to sell at a tasting party I was invited to. I sold most of them including this one. The circle stamp, stamped all over the dusty durango cardstock remindes me of a giraffe.

I will post the rest some time this week.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mommies!

Here is my mother's day card for my Mommy! Love you Mommy! I have to hurry and post this because my mommy is coming over right after church. I am taking her to lunch then to see Star Trek, she is a big trekkie! Then out to Coldstone to get some ice cream since they are doing buy one get your mother's free. We will probably be on line all afternoon but their ice cream is well worth the wait.
I used the purse card die in my BigShot, then embossed Basic Gray cardstock using the Textures Backgrounds # 2 small dots then I covered the whole think with versamark and clear ep and drew a pattern with my bone folder and heat embossed. I embellished the inside of the card with Whisper White cardstock, Walk in the Park DSP, Regal Rose Ink and grosgrain ribbon, butterfly stamp for Great Friend and some assorted old stamps to make a movie ticket.

To make the nugget box, I used the Matchbox die for the bigshot along with some clear plastic from the outer packaging one of my dies came in, some Kraft cardstock and Walk in the Park DSP along with Matchbox Greetings stamp and whisper white satin ribbon and a curly paperclip to attach the tag.

Great Friend!

I finally mounted this stamp set today and decided to play. It is much more sparkly in person, I just can't seem to get glitter to show up in my photos.

I decided to apply Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds just to the negative space of the butterflies. (Because every card needs a little bling!)

I pierced the edges of the Orchid Opulence panel and did the faux stitching with a white gel pen to mimic the double stitching on the ribbon.

The Baja Breeze Patterned Paper panel is popped up on dimensionals.

Butterflies were cut out and bent a bit to make them look more 3 dimensional then popped up on 4 dimensionals.

The sentiment was cut out and popped up on dimensionals as well. I used markers to highlight just the word "friend" in Orchid Opulence then colored the remaining words with a Night of Navy marker.

The Certainly Celery base card has the flower stem stamped lightly all over in Cotton White Stazon.
