This seasonal Cutaway card was so fun to make. I love how the Peaceful Place Suite Collection winter theme is perfect for any winter holiday someone may celebrate.
I decided to make my cutaway card a little different from ones I saw around the internet by adding a middle layer on the back of the front sentiment layer.
Steps to Make this Cutaway card:
I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Basic Black Cardstock as my card base.
I scored the card base at 4 1/2" and then cut away a 2 3/4'' x 4 1/4" piece from the front.
I adhered two pieces of 2 1/2" x 4" Basic White Cardstock to the front and back layers of the cut away piece of 2 3/4' x 4 1/4".
I adhered a 3rd piece of 2 1/2" x 4" Basic White Cardstock to the back of the black card front then stamped a sentiment in Memento Black ink on each side of the cutaway layer- at the top of the front and on the center of the back.
I adhered the cutaway panel to the inside front layer of the cardbase.
I used a piece of 4" x 4 1/4" Peaceful Place DSP with the top of the trees snipped out to adhere to the front of the card base.
I layered another 2 pieces of 1"x 4 1/4" Peaceful Place DSP at the bottom and placed some Silver Foil fence pieces die cut using the Cabin Dies across the front.
I added a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Peaceful Place DSP to the inside of my card and stamped the fox stamp from the Peaceful Cabin stamp set in Basic Grey ink.
I added some Subtle Shimmer Sequins to finish off my card.

I love this card so much! This is the card that Kathy Jones Ervin demonstrated at our last Stampin’ Up Team Meeting. She showed us how to make slim line cards using the masking and stamping on Designer Series Paper techniques.

I am on a mission to get all of my holiday cards ready early this year.
Here is one I designed using some elements from the Peaceful Cabin Suite.
I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card base scored at 4 1/4" made from Evening Evergreen cardstock and then stamped my image and some background snow elements directly and my sentiment directly onto the card base using Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad.
I punched out some Evergreen elements using the Evergreen Border Punch using the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper from the Saleabration Catalog.
I finished off my card by adding some White Glittery Organdy Ribbon using Seal and added bling using Wonderful Gems.
This card was so simple to put together but the effect looks so special with the contrast of the white ink on the dark background and the shimmery paper and glittery elements.
