Honeybee Home New Meets Old Swap Card

I am so proud of how this Honeybee Home New Meets Old Swap Card turned out.

I absolutely love this card layout.  It is a twist on one of my favorites where I just pivoted the stamped layer at an angle on the card front.  I made this card for a new meets old swap using a retiring In Color along with a brand new stamp set from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

I chose Misty Moonlight as my retiring color and did a monochromatic card using the beautiful paper from the Heart & Home Suite.  This paper is sadly also retiring at the end of the January- June 2022 Mini Catalog period and I am so sad. Thankfully the stamps and dies will be carrying over into the new annual catalog so you can still get the gorgeous Honeybee Home stamps that I used here.

I used the Flowers of Home dies to create an embellishment for the left side of the stamped image and went over the cardstock with lots of Wink Of Stella to make it shiny.  I also colored in the floral image using my Misty Moonlight ink applied with the Wink Of Stella pen as a watercolor wash.

The new stamp set that I am featuring on this card is the Good Feelings stamp set and will be available for purchase on May 3rd.  It is an all sentiment set with bold large fonts and I used them on both the card front as well as on the inside of my card.

Sneak Peak: Stampin' Up!'s new In Colors

It's sneak peak time!   Here is my first peak at the new 2021-2023 in Colors.  I made a few cards to show you how the new colors play nicely together.

Fresh Freesia is definitely my favorite new color!  It looks so gorgeous when paired with Soft Succulent.  

I think you are going to love these new colors. 

For these cards inspired by Heidi Collins, I used a post it note in the center of my basic white cardstock and then stamped the vine and floral images from Vine Design around the post it note.  I removed the post it note then stamped my sentiment in the negative framed space in the center.  

I added some of the fun new Loose Flower Flourishes from the upcoming annual catalog.

Vine Design will be available until June.  This is a great stamp set to add to your collection because of the fantastic selection of sentiment stamps.  The coordinating dies are absolutely beautiful too.

Last weekend I attended my first Stampin' Up! OnStage@Home event.  It was so much fun!!!  We had the opportunity to pre-order items from the 2021 January - June Mini Catalog.  I already received  my pre-order products so check back or follow my blog for more sneak peaks!
