WOYWW! Shimmery Trimming The Town

Happy Wednesday!  It is #WOYWW and I found a cute background that I made using shimmery embossing paste on Night Of Navy cardstock on my desk.

I turned that into a quick easy card by die cutting and layering the houses from the Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper using the Home Together Dies.  I added a sentiment from the In The Pines stamp set and cut it out using a label from the Tasteful Labels die set. I added some smoke plumes with a sponge and some Whisper White Craft Ink.   I finished it off with some adhesive backed snowflakes and finally some Shimmery Crystal Effects for a shiny glass like look on the windows of the house.

All of the shimmery and iridescent accents on this card make it a really special one that took very little time to make if you do your snow effect with the embossing paste a head of time and let it dry.

Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper is on sale this month at 15% off and some of the proceeds will be donated to Family services charities.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used to make this card, just click on the links below to purchase from my online store.  Please use Host Code BDFURUVW for orders under $150.  Any order of $50 or more using my host code will receive free gifts and this month's card kit directly from me.

Technique Tuesday Stampin' Blend Markers How to Use the Color Lifter to Make Additional Colors

Welcome to Technique Tuesday.  Today I have a video for you on how to use the Stampin' Blends Color Lifter marker to fill in your color selection when you don't have the exact color you need.

I made this super cute card using this week's Sketch Challenge sketch and the Warm and Toasty stamp set.

In order to color my characters, I used the color lifter in several places to add lighter colors where I needed them.

Check out my Youtube video to see how I colored these characters.

If  you missed this week's sketch, here it is:

Fun Fold Friday: Slim Line Cascading Triple Fold Card using Stampin’ Up! Trimming The Town

TGIF!  It is Fun Fold Friday.  Today's card is a Cascading Triple Fold card using Stampin' Up!'s Trimming The Town Suite.

I added my sentiment using stamps and the Joy dies from the Peace and Joy Bundle.

I had a lot of fun this week making template cards for my fun folds so I will have something to refer back to the next time I want to make one.

I deviated from my template for this card because I wanted to use the sloping tree and snow line dies in the Home Together Die set to get those fun trees sticking up on the top of the card.

I used some of the Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper to decorate my #9 envelope.

Here is my template for my Slim Line Cascading Triple Fold Card.

Here are the cutting dimensions for the template.

Here is a smaller A2 sized template for a Cascading Triple Fold Card.

Here are the Dimensions for the A2 version:

I have a very long list of Fun Fold cards I am looking forward to trying.  Tune in next Friday for another Fun Fold.
