Make It Monday: End of Boho Indigo Week

Welcome to Make It Monday.  

Every Monday I will try to show you what I made over the weekend.  Here is an alternative card I made to show during my Boho Indigo Workshop.  The workshop was a success and we had a great time making our fun fold cards and layout card. 

This card was inspired by Marcie Besecker. Her tips on coloring the flower in the kit with Stampin' Blends markers and adding a layer of vellum on top of your patterned paper to make the pattern more subtle work so well.  For this card I used my Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends marker on the flower and it really made them pop.

My favorite part of the card, is actually the inside.  I used my Stamparatus and the Hinge Stepping method to get the stamped designs perfectly spaced.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I will show you how to do some Hinge Stepping on your cards tomorrow for Technique Tuesday.

Boho Indigo Triple Panel Card

Today’s card using the Boho Indigo Product Medley features a fun fold: Triple Panel Standing Card.

This is a very easy card to make and a great way to feature your favorite patterned paper. Simply add some complimentary colors of card stock and you have a pretty statement piece that anyone can display.

How to:

Make Card Base: I used Coastal Cabana Cardstock 10"  x 5 1/2"  scored at 3", 4", 6", 7"

Fold in the following pattern:  Mountain, Valley, Mountain Valley so it will look like the below when viewed from the top.  Decorate as desired:

Mats:

Rich Razzleberry:  (2) 5 1/4" x 2 3/4", (2) 3/4" x 5 1/4",  1 3/4" x 5 1/4",   2 3/4" x 2 3/4", and 2 1/4" circle

Boho Indigo Patterned Paper: (2) 5 x 2 1/2", 1 1/2" x 5",  (2) 1/2" x 5"   , 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"

Shimmery White: 2" Circle

Embellish as desired.

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to add the petal designs in the corners of my panels and threaded the Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo back through the petal holes to tie my bow.

Boho Indigo Workshop Preview: Arrow Fold Tutorial

Next weekend is my Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Workshop on the Saturday Night Crafters Facebook Group.  Here is a preview video with a quick description on how to make the Arrow Fold card we will make during the workshop with a listing of cutting dimensions and the products used to make the card.

Cutting Dimensions:

Card Base:  4/1/4" X 11"

Score at 5 1/2" then mark bottom center at 2 1/8" and each side at 2" 4" .  Score diagonally 

from bottom center to each mark on the side and up to the 5 1/2" score line also.

Mat Layer:

4" x 5 1/4"  

Mark the bottom at 2" then cut diagonally up to the left and right top corner of the cardstock.

DSP Layer:

3 3/4" x 5"

Mark the bottom at 1 7/8" and cut diagonally up to the left and right top corner of the cardstock.

Boho Indigo Medley Workshop

If you have a small budget and would still like to make similar looking projects consider getting the Boho Indigo refill kit that comes with the Designer Series Paper, embossed vanilla cardstock and white flowers. 

Please make sure you have two complimentary colored sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock, a scoring tool, a bone folder, two sizes of circle dies or punches and a sentiment stamp of your choosing for the inside of your card if you would like to make the Napkin Fold card.  

I used the stamp set Happiest of Birthdays for the inside sentiment on my napkin fold card.
