Saturated Canary Challenge #19

I had so much fun making this card!  It is for the Saturated Canary Challenge # 19: Anything Goes.  

I decided to really get inky and messy on the background. I made my first Tim Holtz inspired tag. I made my own glimmer spray with perfect pearls and  I used actual glitter too.  I finally cleaned up my workspace last week enough to really have a space to do some messy work.

I found the cool Tim Holtz Alterations honeycomb embossing folder last week at AC Moore and decided to run a tag through in it.  Then I sponged on some of the new Tim Holtz Spring Distress Ink Colors.   Then I got crazy and spirtzed the whole thing with water a few times and blotted it with paper towels. I applied a final spritz of Turquoise glimmer mist and then sprayed the whole thing with my perfect pearls shimmer concoction at the end.   Once dried I decided to stamp a butterfly stamp in ScrapPerfect glue and then adhere some super fine glitter to the image.  Finally I used a memory box die cut from 3M Post It Craft Paper  over the edge and then distressed some bits on my card.  For the sentiment I used the glue again with the glitter for the word Dream.  This card was so fun and messy to make!  Truly anything and everything goes on this one.  Stamping, DigiStamping, Embossing, Sponging, Spritzing, Oh My!

Monochromatic Birthday

Just popping in with a quick and simple card to share. It is just a simple birthday card, no coloring and nothing fancy. I kept it pretty monochromatic focused on the PTI Aqua Mist cardstock with some green and beige thrown in. This poor card was defiled today. I was on my way to work , sleeping on the bus as usual and when I woke up the floor was all wet and so was my tote bag. Apparently the woman sitting next to me spilled her water all over everything and didn't bother to mention it... and well my card got all soggy. I am hoping it will dry and not be too damaged...but at least I got a good picture of it before the flood!

Spring Mother's Day and American Idol Chit Chat

Ok here is another attempt at a Mother's Day card...I think we are improving here. Played some more with my Tim Hotltz Alterations dies... loving them... this one is the On the Edge Ornate die.

What did you all think of Idol last night? Now I personally LOVE Shania...so for me it was a good night. I have seen her in concert, have most of her albums...know her songs by heart. I guess I am a closet country/pop fan. I really liked everybody last night. This is so hard for me...I don't even really have a favorite. Shiobahn was a bit rough for me but she came through at the end of the song and won over the judges. I really liked Lee. Aaron sang my favorite Shania song...so I have to give him some props. Glad he changed the lyrics...since he was singing to him Mom and all. I really don't know who is gonna go home.

I can now also say I am officially a GLEEK! I really like Glee. I watched it again last night and I think I really like it because I was in the Glee club in highschool...of course we didn't call it that, it was just Chorus. :0)

Celebrate Mom

Ok guys, I have lost my mojo. I cleaned and organized my stamp space...and I must have thrown it away. lol! I have not colored a darn thing with my copics in over two weeks...everything I have posted was either colored with Prismacolor pencils or stuff I colored weeks ago and just never made it onto a card.



I need some serious stamp time...no cooking, no cleaning, no working, no collecting of more and more stamping supplies AKA shopping, no napping (I am very guilty of this one lately)...just creating! I have got to get some Mother's Day cards going.



Here is one card that I forced myself to make because I wanted to play with my new Tim Holtz Alterations dies and Smooch Illuminate paint....It is almost a Mother's Day card... looks more like a darn birthday card to me. I dunno... I am in desperate need of some divine inspiration! Do you guys ever get "stampers block" too?
