Smash Sunday

I got to do lots of smashing today! Here is my latest pages. They are all about how I spend my weekends. The best weekends to me are the lazy ones. I loved these digis from Simply Betty because they reminded me of this Smash page with the pie chart that says " How I Spend My Days". I spend so much of my weekend in my jammies, hair in rollers, enjoying my coffee, or papercrafting. Morning Betty and Scrapbook Betty were perfect for these pages.

I used some Bo Bunny Sweet Tooth and paper and stamps. I love to bake so I thought the Smash Tab that says "To Bake" would go perfect with this page.

This page I used some cool Fabscraps Washi tape and just left this page the way it came in the book. I included some lyrics from The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars because it perfectly describes my mood on the weekends. Sometimes the best days are the ones where you have to do "Nothing At All"!

Smash Pretty Lavender Folio and First Video

My Smash goodies just arrived and I wanted to share with all of you what the new Pretty Lavender Large Smash Folio looks like inside. This is my first video and as such...there is no sound at the beginning. I think I had my finger over the mic on my iPhone. Oh well, no one needs my commentary the main event is what the book looks like.

Trying Out Bazzill White Cardstock

It is National Craft Month and HSN has some nice pricing offers. I ordered up a bunch of different things including this Annabel clear stamp set by Kanban crafts. I purchased some new white cardstock on Leap Day because they were offering $29 off a purchase. They had a deal on Bazzill White 12 X 12 cardstock 100 sheets for 16.95. It sounded like an really good deal and the reviewers of the cardstock were raving about it. Plus shipping was discounted because I ordered so many items. I figured, why not try it out? You can always return things with them if you don't like them.

I couldn't tell from the description what type of cardstock or weight it would be. I mean what does "high quality matte white cardstock" really tell you? I was hoping that it would be the Bazzill Simply Smooth cardstock and that I could use it with my Copics. Well, it came the other night and I tried it out and it works great with my Copics. I still have no idea what it is, Smooth or Simply Smooth? All I know is that it is bright white, very smooth and Copics glide on like a dream. There is a bit of bleed if you over saturate your cardstock but it seems to be the same amount of bleed as the Boise HD Color Copy Cover I am using now. Same weight too. It definitely blends easier. Plus there is so much of it. I am very happy with it. Whatever works, right?

I so excited! It is my birthday next weekend, St. Patty's Day! YAY! My favorite time of the year besides Christmas! I ordered myself an early birthday present. Well several presents actually. I got some of the new release SMASH Journal goodies. I ordered the new big size 11.25" x 13.5" Folio style Pretty Lavender Journal, the date stamp, lots of extras and tons of Washi tape. I mean can you really SMASH without Washi tape? I ordered from Creative Play Stamps and my order shipped yesterday so everything should be here in time for my Birthday!

Smash Sunday

It's Smash Sunday again, and today I am sharing some pocket pages I made to hold more books I want to read. While the page I shared last week has a ton of books I want to read, there was still a whole bunch more. I decided to make some pocket pages that were just pretty and could hold anything, not just books I want to read but maybe places I want to go or things I want to do, Leap List stuff. I can just slide anything in the pockets and change it up as I go along.

Saw this art work over on Kellie Winnell's page and had to CAS it. It is pink and matches my pages! Thanks Kellie for inspiring me to Smash! There is a great Facebook group where everyone shares their journals here.

I used some Inkadinkado clear stamps from a set called Thoughts For The Day. I colored them in with Copic RV34 and some stickles. I added some Paper Layers and stickers from the Glitz Pretty In Pink kit. Finally I added in some Smash tape and SmashPad pages and topped it all off with an tin butterfly ornament I got from the dollar fifty bin at Michael's.

Smashing Sunday

I have been bitten by the Smash bug. I got my first Smash Journal on Friday. I had fun breaking it in. I decided to do a layout about reading since that is my other obsessive pastime. Plus it was a perfect excuse to use this new Bedhead stamp from Saturated Canary. Looks just like me! I just finished reading Great Hexpectations by H.P. Mallory this morning.

The very first page I made was about books I wanted to read. Of course I ran out of room because there are a lot of books on my reading wishlist. I covered over the first page in the Red Doodle Smash Journal completely. It was orange. I hate orange.

I decided to cover over the left inside page also to include more books. I still have a bunch more but these are the ones I want to read first.

Here are all the cool Smash goodies I picked up to get me started. I got the Like This Smash Tape, the Entertainment Smash Pad, Red and Blue Smash Stickies plus some cool finds from the Michael's $1.50 bin. I got some Shabby Chic Clothes Pins and a cool vintagey lined Paper Pad.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This card was inspired by the PTI sketch challenge sketch #5. I played with some of my new goodies for this card. I used the Sizzix 3D Flower die, Stampin' Up! Framelits Label Collection die, and my new low temp Ad Tech glue gun. I find that none of the adhesives I have really keep those 3D embellishments on my cards over time so I figured the glue gun was a better way to go. It worked really well to hold the flowers together as well as adhere them to the card.
