I decided to do a little playing with mixed media today. I sat down with some supplies I knew I wanted to play with. Namely Gelatos, stencil and embossing paste. My intention was to make a pocket scrapbooking journaling card. I made a cute one...however I had even more fun with my practice sheet. I liked it so much I made it into a card.
Here are the supplies I started with:
Here is the card I ended up with:
Supplies: Lulu Lavender Fireworks, Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink, Golden Gel Medium Light Molding Paste, Faber Castel Gelatos, Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card die, Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock, Queen & Co Rhinestones, MME Washi Tape, Three Ring Circus Sentiment stamp, Some Odd Girl Sentiment Stamp, Heidi Swapp Spray Stencil
I am excited to participate in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday this week. I can happily say, not much is on my desk. Finally, thanks to my Dad and my new Raskog cart, it is all clean. It is organized and ready for a brand spanking new project. Here is the super scary before pic:
AACCKKK!!! It should not be hard to imagine why I haven't made anything lately. LOL. But that is all about to change. Be back soon with some Halloween cards to share.
I am still working on getting my MoJo back. I think half of crafting is organization. If your space is a big mess, it isn't really conducive to creating. Got new goodies? Where do you store them? Making a project....where do you put everything? I have some much stuff piled onto my workspace that I have no where to make anything. I had a blast two weeks ago at Scrapbook Expo. I got a ton of great new things, but where do I put all my new things?
Enter IKEA and the Raskog cart. My Dad was nice enough to get me one and I love it. I feel like it is the perfect storage solution for Project Life. I have a ton of stuff in mine already and it is perfect because it is mobile. Notice it is right in front of the closet. I can just roll it out of the way when I need to open the closet doors.
Below are some of the new fun things I picked up at the Expo.
Here is how I decided to organize all that great stuff into my Raskog cart. The top shelf of my cart holds some basic tools like a glue runner, corner rounder, xyron sticker maker, ink pad, stamp block and pens.
On the middle shelf I have two inserts. On the bottom are my Gelatos, Tools, Masks, and Washi tapes. Above that are my journal cards and Copic journals. In the back I have Thickers and some card stock.
At the bottom I have more Washi, clear stamps, stickers, 6x6 paper pads, and a ton of Glitz Design goodies.
Took some fun classes at Scrapbook Expo too. One was a mixed media class with the Rubber Cafe. It was all about using Gelatos.
I'm Back! I have not been crafting for a while now. Managing my IBS has kept me pretty busy for months. I am happy to report I am doing much better and have gotten back to having some free time to do some papercrafting. In honor of Virtual Scrap Book Night over on Splitcoast Stampers... here is a scrapbook a friend asked me to make for her coworker who is expecting.
I am loving the Basic Grey Soleil collection of papers! These are all my favorite colors. I thought it would be cute to color up Saturated Canary image Washi Tape Kinda Girl and pair it up with this cute paper. I threw in some assorted washi tape from my collection and broke out my Spellbinders Nestabilities Card Creator A2 Dies to make the layers nice and straight. I can honestly say that did not miss measuring on the paper cutter, not one little bit. I used a Lil Inkers die to cut out the background on the sentiment and a random heart sticker.
Some Copics color matches for the Basic Grey Soleil Collection:

Stamp: Washi Tape Kinda Girl digi by Saturated Canary
Paper: Bosie HD Color Copy Cover, Basic Grey Soleil
I have been stamping and scrapbooking for several years and love that I can share this wonderful hobby with others. Stamping, scrapping and creating is like art therapy for the soul. I have started this blog so that I can share that therapy with you!
