Happy Wednesday! Time for another installment of Whats On Your Workdesk- #73! I really like this game.... it is a great way to post without having to finish my project the night before...lol! I am getting closer to a finished card...see... all the cool parts laid out above. I have my images, my sentiments, my cardstock layers....everything right? Wrong... I decided that since I am incorporating the brown into this card (the image far left) that I have to put some kind of ribbon on this too. You'll see once I'm done.

I do have one finished project to show you...or three if you want to be technical about it.
Altered Halloween Candy Tins! They began their life as my beloved General Foods International Dark Mayan Chocolate Latte tins...yummo! I have a dozen or so of these empty babies lying around and I decided I would recycle them in a fun way. My coworkers kids love my cards and stuff so I made them candy tins for Halloween.

I will be filling them up with Baskin Robins ice cream flavored hard candies and Ghiardehlli chocolate squares today.

Copic Journal- Tricked Out

I have finally made a cover for my copic journal. I still refuse to bind it though. I keep adding pages and revising pages, and taking pages out to photograph them, so I think this will stay on binder rings forever.

I threw in some pages for my Prismacolor pencils since I have been trying to use them with my copics -Linda Heavens style. Love her work!

Altered Valentine's Candy Tins

Today's project was altering coffee tins. I had a bunch of International Coffee tins laying around and figured they would be the perfect size for Hershey Kisses. I used some of my Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Love tablet papers and then used my SU! hearts punch to make some accents. I tied some Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon around the tins and placed an SU! Full Heart Punch out on top and viola! The perfect candy tins for people at work to purchase as last minute valentine's gifts. I had to use serious will power not to eat all the kisses myself.

I am off to help my best friend get ready for her Superbowl party. She just had a baby last week so I figued I could see my little baby neice and help out. Look for lost of newborn pics this coming week.

Altered Art- stamper spotlight Twila Davis

Today I wanted to showcase a wonderful stamper named Twila Davis. Her work inspires me because she creatively manages to use SU! products in innovative and imaginative ways like Altered Art. Altered Art isn't just for books. There is no limit to the things you can potentially alter using SU's paper, dies, stamps, and embellishments. On Twila's site you will see how she uses the same Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and BigShot die -Daisey Die in a number of different ways. She put together a beautiful tin full of matching goodies including a card, altered flip flops, a notepad and pen, a coupon keeper turned tissue holder. She used Fun Foam run through the bigshot and Corduroy brads to make her Daises. The result is one good looking gift package for some lucky recipient.
