I absolutely love all things Tinkerbell so I just had to do last weeks Flutter By Wednesday Challenge...a little late but better than never. The challenge was to do a card inspired by this picture:
Here is the first draft of my card. I thought I was done, but it just seemed unbalanced to me so I added the flowers to the lower right hand side.
Here is a close up of Tinkerbell. I decided to do something different so I used Prismacolor pencils and OMS with my Copics to add the yellow halo around the image. I definitely need to practice using odorless mineral spirits and the blending stump with the pencils. I like using the pencils with the Copics because if I tried to do the same halo effect with markers I run the risk of the yellow bleeding into my image.

ReplyDeleteBTW, was wondering about your Copic Color Combo Charts - is that something you made or got somewhere else? I think I could TOTALLY use those! What an awesome thing to have on hand - prevents reinventing the wheel each time I go to create!!
